Arrival at Muscat International Airport. You will be met on arrival by our representative, and transferred to the hotel.

In the evening meet your local guide in the lobby and proceed for an introduction tour of Muscat stopping at Al Alam Palace, the official palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. The palace is flanked by 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Take a leisurely walk near the palace and soak in the atmosphere. Later, you will drive along the picturesque Corniche and stop at Muttrah Souq, a scintillating Arabian souq which reminds of the bygone era. Take a walk through this sparkling souq and breathe in the Arabian scents most especially the frankincense for which Oman is still very famous. After the tour proceed to a local restaurant for dinner and then head back to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Hotel.

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to visit Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques of the modern era. After the visit we leave the capital and drive through the countryside and proceed in the direction of Wahiba, the largest sand desert in Oman. Wahiba Sands is a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and the dunes rising up to 200 meters are also host to a variety of flora and fauna. Be prepared for an adventurous and thrilling dune-driving experience. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight.

The camp where you will stay might offer a variety of activities like quad biking, horse riding, sand surfing etc.

Dinner at the camp is also an unforgettable experience and after dinner watching the star studded sky from outside your tent and enjoying the serenity and calmness of the night.

Notes: To enter Grand mosque – Ladies should be fully covered with scarf, and wear full sleeves shirt. Men are not allowed to wear shorts.

Dinner and overnight at the camp

After breakfast at the camp we drive out of the desert and proceed towards Sur, the biggest city south of Muscat and also synonym for the Dhow yard. Visit one of the dhow yards of Sur where these traditional vessels are still made in more or less the same way as they were made hundreds of years ago. After Sur we proceed to Wadi Tiwi, one of the most picturesque wadis of Oman. The drive inside the wadi will take you near the village where you can take a walk and see how time has stood still for everything that surrounds this little village. After this we proceed to Wadi Shab for a short photostop and then to Bimah Sinkhole, a limestone crater created by erosion caused by rain and sea.

Drive back to Muscat and arrive at Muscat.

Rest of the evening at leisure.

Overnight at the hotel

In the morning proceed to Marina and embark on a fiber boat for a cruise through Muscat coast to watch wild dolphins. Watching wild dolphins is a thrilling way to start the day, and the lucky may even come across one of the many species of whales that can be found just a few kilometers from Muscat’s rugged coast. Not every trip guarantees a sighting, but you are sure to enjoy the trip out to sea, and enhance your knowledge about nature’s most fascinating marine mammals. Soft drinks and water will be served on board. Rest of the day is at leisure. Afternoon proceed to one of the many malls of Muscat and enjoy your time shopping or at leisure at the hotel.

Checkout from the hotel and you will be transferred to Muscat International Airport for onward flight.
